Last Save Protocol Editorial
Last Save Protocol is an independently run guides site for players who are stuck right now: the answer comes first, and the reasoning behind it comes after.
Mission
This site publishes walkthroughs, boss strategies, build and loadout guides, PC settings and FPS optimisation, and hardware or game comparisons. Every guide is written to be read in the middle of a session — the route, the build, the setting or the number sits in the first paragraph, and the explanation of why it works sits under it for anyone who wants it. What this site deliberately does not publish: news, leaks, review scores, patch-note reprints, or roundups that exist only to list things. If a guide does not answer a specific question a player actually asked, it does not belong here.
Methodology
- A guide is written against one specific version of a game, driver or launcher, and against the sources it cites — in-game behaviour, official patch notes, and the tool being configured. This site does not run a hardware lab, and it does not claim that every configuration in every guide has been reproduced on a test bench; where a step has not been confirmed first-hand, the guide says so instead of implying otherwise.
- Where a guide has been checked against a known version, that version is stamped on the article and shown as "Tested in …" with the date it was last verified. An article with no stamp has not been re-checked since it was published, and the absence of a stamp is meant to be read as exactly that.
- When a patch, driver release or balance change invalidates a guide, the article is corrected in place rather than reposted, its verified date moves, and the change surfaces on the updates page. A guide that can no longer be made accurate is marked as out of date rather than quietly left to rot.
Editorial standards
- An article ships here only if it answers one concrete question, states the answer before the reasoning, names the game version or hardware it applies to where that matters, marks anything unverified or community-reported as such rather than smoothing it over, and warns before any step that can cost a save, a setting or stable hardware. Nothing on this site is sponsored, and no guide recommends a purchase in exchange for payment.
Contact
Corrections are the most useful thing you can send: the guide, the version you played, and what actually happened. Topic suggestions and permission requests are welcome too. The address comes from site.config.ts: contact@lastsaveprotocol.com. It is a working address — mail to it is forwarded to a monitored mailbox — so expect a reply in days rather than hours; this is a small project, not a support desk.
